Lack of vitamin D relates with many childhood diseases including type 1 diabetes (T1DM). T1DM in children is becoming more prevalent with 23% National increase from 2001 to 2009. Similarly, it has West Virginia an increase of 8.1% in children of type I Diabetes from 2008/2009 to 2010/2011. This article highlights the assembly between Vitamin D and diabetes type 1 and discusses the potential of vitamin D Role in reduction and management Of T1DM in children (Mayer-Davis et. al., 2012).
